producing oil within one year. This has since been verified. Why do we need five years to have one oil well functioning and producing oil?





Also, why is it necessary for average Americans to have to dig up information like this just to get at the truth? Our government's failure to act started with the Carter administration and continues to this day. If that's true, then why do even the Republicans admit that it will still take years? The time involved also concerns building new refineries, doing environmental impact surveys, and building the oil rigs.





T Boone Pickens, a Republican who has made billions drilling for oil, has said that we can not drill our way out of this, we need to put our efforts into finding alternatives.

If Iran has 11 new oil wells, maybe we'd better stop telling them we're going to f*** them and start buying them dinner instead. That's what we do with Saudi Arabia isn't it?
