Since the Dem's will not let us drill for oil, will they offer us free electric cars?

It is seems to me that the question of looking in our own back yard for oil is a not only a positive move, but it will show the arabs we are serious.Since the Dem's will not let us drill for oil, will they offer us free electric cars?
I don't know about free... but I'd support placing electric cars on a 10+year cycle of tax incentives to help grow the market.Since the Dem's will not let us drill for oil, will they offer us free electric cars?
Maybe if you took some fitness training and self defense you could fight back and those Dems would stop bullying you around
Drilling for oil is a solution, but not a permanent one. Oil will not last forever, let's not be so short-sighted.
Can we start the drilling in your back yard? Maybe the governement will give you $25,000 for your $100,000 house.
Electric cars won't work in America. Even having as little as 5% electric cars would overload the electrical grid in states like California. That would result in ';brown outs';.

America has a 125 year supply of shale oil. America could use shale oil for 125 years without using any other source of oil.
No. Instead of spending 10 years waiting for the first drop of American oil to run from the pump we are better served to bite the bullet now and invest in other energy resources.
Once again, The flaw in this thinking is a belief that, in the supply-and-demand equation, America can somehow control the supply of oil. It can't and never will. This country sits atop just 3 percent of global oil reserves but accounts for a full 25 percent of consumption.

More than half of all oil consumed by the United States now comes from foreign sources. Within 20 years, according to some estimates, at least two- thirds of our oil will come from abroad.

The only thing America has any say over is its demand for the stuff.
how long do you think it will last? it just doesn't regenerate itself so rapidly. then what?
i dont know about free electric cars i mean even if we drill we are not going to get free gas right?

This is not to say in defense of the democrats but what is true is that not drilling will promote electric cars, making them cheaper or at least competitive with oil prices and of course this will be an improvement to move away from oil
