Where was the first oil well drilled?

Pennsylvania,circa late 1800's... and that kids is how ';penzoil'; was born. the drilling tower was constructed of wood. the oil cracking process was developed from that to get ';kerosine'; to light lamps. recall the headlight on steam locomotives at that time were kerosine lanterns,as were running lights and the lanterns carried by conductors on the trainsWhere was the first oil well drilled?
