Does anyone feel the oil being drilled from the planet, contributes to the problems...?

of Global warming? In addition to all the other common factors ?Does anyone feel the oil being drilled from the planet, contributes to the problems...?
Possibly. There is still the Debate that Global Warming is merely a Cyclical Event that has happened many times in the Past, and that Volcanic activity has far more of an impact on the Environment than Human activity. But what about the Combination of the Two ? Also, those that claim to be so concerned about the Environment seem to have lost Sight of the Fact that all Gasoline powered Vehicles in the USA from ' 96 to the present are required to run at 14.7 Parts of Air to 1 Part of Fuel. Any change, even if Fuel Economy is improved, and Emissions are lowered, will result in a failed Vehicle Inspection. My Avatar is a Photo of a Device I have constructed that safely converts Gasoline into a clear dry Vapor that is 100 Parts of Air to 1 Part of Fuel. I've lit it on Fire to prove it works. The point is that with Vaporized Fuel, even the largest SUV could get 50 + MPG, and emit 10 times less pollution than with a conventional Fuel System. I'm not the first to realize this. Far from it ! Go to http://energy21.freeservers.com/bookrep.鈥?/a> and read through all of it. Greed and Money have stopped Vapor Fuel Technology cold. And now, it's illegal to even attempt on any Vehicle 11 Years old, or Newer ! Will someone please tell Me what it will take to get this insane EPA-OBD II Law changed ?Does anyone feel the oil being drilled from the planet, contributes to the problems...?
The oil being drilled has no direct effect on global warming. It is our inefficient use of the oil and our massive emissions produced by the combustion of oil that is a possible cause of global warming. Though right now, when they are drilling the oil overseas, they burn off the natural gas that lies on top - which will contribute to global warming. I think recently, they began saving the natural gas as well, though, so the drilling process does not contribute.

If we could stop using the oil that comes from the planet, we would all be happier creatures. It is after all, going to run out within the next century or two without a doubt, and much sooner depending upon who you talk to.

However, oil is used for so many different things right now, that we would have to regress to a hunter-gatherer society if we were to go cold turkey on the use of oil. Not only is oil powering our cars and our electricity, but it also powers the lubricants that help all of our machines, creates plastics, and even paints. Everything we have, use, touch, or ingest has some connection to oil in today's society. Sure, we can convert to biomass such as corn - but the energy created from this is very low quality. Not only do you need to produce a great deal of corn to create an equivalent amount of energy, but you are ruining your farming fields by growing this crop continuously. Something does need to be done about the fuel / oil problem. However, oil solves just as many problems as it creates, and we are all up against a wall trying to come up with the solution.
Well, obviously burning oil is a major contributor to increases in atmospheric CO2 levels. Whether this is a major contributor to global warming is still subject to debate.
Not directly, but in a way yea. Indirectly pumping out oil from the Earth is made into burnable gas for cars and such, which produces higher amounts of CO2 and results in ';global warming'; The Earth is far too large for us humans to have such an impact though.

As there have been huge catostrophic events in every period of the Earth's changes, in climate, and living speices/organisms.

Our speices is bound to be doomed but not by us, but by as in history, the planet, as it is in a never ending/growing cycle till the end.
Are you another touchy feely [sic] liberal who wants to spread propaganda by how they feel about things?
the drilling infact does little damage the only environmental effect is subteranean cavities that can fill up with sewage or worse colapse causing deep sink holes

,how we use the oil is a big contributing factor to climate change

but the biggest problem is DEFORESTATION,

because of AGRICULTURE %26amp; subsquent DESERTIFICATION,and the reason for this is OVERPOPULATION,and its related effects ,

the huge networks of roads that have consumed the Environment does not help either
of course it does. anyone with half a mind knows that. oil provides a lot of income for alot of people. the environment takes a back seat. more people, more cars, more exhaust. pretty simple.
I think we're all accumulating a lot of bad karma by polluting the planet. But as long as we continue to happily pay $3.50 a gallon and drive our big SUV's, the oil companies are only doing what comes naturally in drilling and selling. Yes, it is true the planet has gone through other periods of warming, but that is specious logic for justifying our continued rampant polluting of our home. We are really ';shitting in our nest'; and we are going to pay a price for it. Will earth be fine? Yup. It's been fine for billions of years without us, and it will be fine for billions of years after we're gone. The question is whether we are contributing to a planet that can sustain us, or contributing to a planet that will kill us.
In my opinion oil is one of the biggest causes of global warming and the one thing we need to find an alternative to ASAP! Dependence on foreign oil puts the country at risk and causes global warming.

Yet even with gasoline at record highs, we are still using it at the fastest rate in history. Until people stop using gasoline for cars (comes from oil), global warming will become worse.
