If the both parties say drill for oil, do either say keep it in America?

we can't keep it to ourselves unltil we buy it back from the international market. If the both parties say drill for oil, do either say keep it in America?
I do not hear too many democrats saying to drill for oil in America. They want to continue depending on foreign only and put the emphasis on finding other alternative types of energy. The Republicans want to drill off shore and in anwar and look for alternative sources of energy. But at least we would be less dependant on foreign oil in the mean time. But, even if we did not keep all our oil here in the US, we would not need to import as much.If the both parties say drill for oil, do either say keep it in America?
Oil is nothing more than a commodity sold on the open market.

But don't worry - the U.S. exports Very little of it's oil.

In 2007 the small amount of crude the U.S. exported all went to Canada. That's okay because Canada is also our chief supplier of foreign oil.
The democrats don't want to drill and will never want to drill because they just want to blame the Republicans for not doing anything. The Republicans want to drill in America because that is where the oil is.
No, as soon as it comes out of the ground, it's sold on the world market to the highest bidder, so the only ones benefiting from more oil are the companies who sell it.
It doesn't matter if it's kept here or not. It lowers the price anyway.
Huh?
