An idea for high oil prices? Would protesting endlessly like democrats have done over drilling help?

Democrats love to protest increasing supply, so it must be Bush's fault!!! LOLAn idea for high oil prices? Would protesting endlessly like democrats have done over drilling help?
Reminding people daily that Democrats are the reason we cannot access our own oil would probably get Liberals voted out of office.

That would solve the whole problem.An idea for high oil prices? Would protesting endlessly like democrats have done over drilling help?
You are aware that LOL stands for ';laugh out loud,'; and what you said wasn't actually funny, right?

The United States is already exploiting oil at or near our maximum capacity. And if we increased production somehow, we would still need to import most of our oil. We have 11% of the world's proven oil reserves, but we are the #1 consumer of petroleum products. Those numbers are simply irreconcilable. Blaming Democrats for a simple fact of nature isn't very reasonable.

Edit%26gt; Tsk, accusing others of ad hominem attacks while flinging them yourself. Calling me a liberal doesn't make what I've said untrue. We could pull the entire American oil reserve out of the ground within ten years and it would still only temporarily stall the price increases.
The high oil prices are out of our control.

The OPEC nations which control most of the worlds oil are happy to remain in their group hug, collaborating and putting the price of oil ever higher.

They are the ones causing the problems, and no democrat or republican can do anything about it.
Once again, the menacing overtones of ignorance and intolerance that is prototypical of a conservative make their way to this forum. No wonder why the Defense Department in 2004 released a report claiming there is little difference between modern American conservatives (neo-cons) and the fascists of Europe during world war two.

Why don't you actually educate yourself on this subject rather than letting talk radio and fox news constitute the zenith of your political and economic understanding.
Supply isnt the problem. Drilling in pristene environments isnt the solution.

Oil = support of terrorism

biofuel = free America

The problem is the oil standard and OPEC. So long as the world is on the oil standard, OPEC rules the world.s
No. It's OPEC's fault. They know America is the largest consumer of oil, and we're going to buy a lot of it this summer. The more they raise it, the more they know we will spend on it. Regardless if we protest or not, we still need to get to work, school, etc.
Stop consuming so damn much of the stuff.

Get over your tiny penis and lose the SUV.

Use the bus, ride your bike.

That's my idea for how to deal with high gas prices.
Well, gee, Dumbya DID destabilize a Middle Eastern nation to try to assassinate its President.
Good idea..
I think the real reasons are in the view of basic economic principle of demand and supply and the evil sin of greed. As our world citizens are getting more and more greedy and materialistic, almost every one want to have the first crack to own a fancy new car to brag his or her social status.

The OPEC spokesperson has already said that they can't control the prices recently. However, they just say in TV this morning that they can increase the production to combat with the inclining of oil price. The truth is that the middle persons in the financial sectors want to make a huge profit of crude oil trades. If you are the investors, you probably want to see the oil shares price go up and don't give a damn for drivers in this world. Do you know how much money that Cheney's wife has made in the recent years? According to the IRA information, she has made a hell lot of money in oil shares transactions. By examining her income tax returns for the past few years, were greater than George and Laura Bush's total income.

I think the best resolution to control the oil price is let the US and UK government to take over the oil supply agents in New York and London. If so, we probably accuse the government violate the free market rights. I think to destroy the financial investment of trading oil and real estate can also able to control the oil prices in the affordable level.
They'll damn sure try.
