What are the procedure to get oil exploration company to drill a well, when one discovers a naturaloil seepage?

The very first thing you should do is to check on the ';Mineral Rights'; to the property where you found the oil seepage. You might alert an oil company only to find out that someone in the past sold the mineral rights and someone else owns the oil under the property.

After you check on that, then try contacting an oil drilling company. Try here:

if the seep is on your property, keep yer lip zipped until you can pay to have the place drilled yourself..... no reason to give it to a huge corporation when you could profit from it!.... note, too, whether there's a reason you might not be allowed to drill there.... as stated above (no mineral rights) or an endangered species....What are the procedure to get oil exploration company to drill a well, when one discovers a naturaloil seepage?
Thats more likely a sign of a problem, not a Jed Clampett moment. Oil doesnt normally do that. Not in the US. I would contact your state Environmental Quality agency first.
Are your mineral rights in California? You can email me and I could explain or help. My email address is: tm59707@classicnet.net
