Who authorizes them to drill in a particular place, and say if your farm was on the land where the oil companies are wanting to drill what rights do you have as a property owner and an american citizen?What rights do oil companies have, regarding where they can drill, and where they cant?
You have several different issues, one thing you did not provide is whether as property owner you have mineral rights on the land, assuming you do, then you can lease the site for drilling and you will receive a percentage of the monies earned, if you do not then the holder of the mineral rights can lease the site as long as it does not disrupt your quality of living or your access to other areas.~
