Of course it did. It's supply and demand and the barrel price of oil is for future deliveries. All we need to do is let the market work. It is demanding more supply, honor that demand and the price will drop.





Exxon posted a 17% profit while GOOGLE posted 35% so who is really gouging the public while the oil company executives are sweating in front of a bunch of legislators that probably couldn't collectively operate a gas pump???

No, it takes time to drill those wells and set up the pumping station but you can't deny that just his lifting the ban drove the price of oil down $10 a barrel. The price of gas is all up to the oil companies. We get 17% of our oil from Saudi and none from Iran like some people like to think. Iraq and Iran both pipe their oil to Saudi and that jack a s s in South America hasn't done anything to lower price.
Yes. If the oil producers know that we are serious about increasing the supply of oil they increase the supply themselves to reduce the price.





That is the way that cartels operate.





The Arab countries and OPEC are one big oil cartel.





When they see that we are serious about increasing the supply they increse the amount that they supply to keep their market share and discourage us from increasing our supplies.

The democrats will never allow the oil prices to drop again. The people will have to beg from the government in order to survive. It only takes 50%+1 vote to go socialist and the people are ready to take that course.
What lowered the oil prices was oil speculators getting scared of congressional investigation into their activities. Bush had nothing to do with it.
Yes I think something like this happened in the 80's and the price again went down, we still need to drill our own oil, and if it doesn't happen, they we know for sure!! who's in bed with whom!!!

I have said for 6 months now, its a strategy, just everyone agree to drill here, and we dont even have to drill here and the saudis will lower the price if they think they will loose our business.

You don't The talks with Iran, the decision to create a time frame for a pull out in Iraq and the decrease in demand for oil all can have an effect as well.

OIL PRICES WENT DOWN BECAUSE SUPPLY GREW, A DIRECT RESULT OF PEOPLE NOT DRIVING. IT'S CALLED SUPPLY AND DEMAND. PEOPLE STOP USING A PRODUCT AND DEMAND GOES DOWN, SUPPLY CHAINS CAN'T REACT FAST ENOUGH SO SUPPLY STAYS HIGH, SUPPLIES BUILD UP, TOO MUCH INVENTORY FORCES PRICES DOWN.
