The majority of Americans want to drill for our own oil, when did our government start not to do our will?

I agree with ';Your';, 8 years ago when Democrats became so psychotically blind with rage that they decided to do anything, no matter how assinine, to stop any policy from crossing Bush's desk no matter how much it benefitted society. They spent 8 years focused on nothing but hate based on ';stolen'; elections and have been screwing the American public ever since. And NOW they want to preach change. Change from what, their 8 years of blind, damn-the-consequences to the people, hatred, that's what.The majority of Americans want to drill for our own oil, when did our government start not to do our will?
In the next few years, we will be drilling no matter who wants to.





What Pickens doesn't tell you is that, by 2010, we will be buying 85% or more of our oil overseas, and 95% by 2012.





The matter WILL come to a head, come what may, and drilling for oil is the only viable short term solution. It will be forced upon whomever is elected.





(The reason for this is because America has only 4 or 5 years of oil left, and when faced with our current laws, all oil companies will have only one solution as their reserves run dry: wait or buy on the open market.)The majority of Americans want to drill for our own oil, when did our government start not to do our will?
It isn't YOUR oil... And the government operates aginst the people's will, often.





aAnd further, when did it ever become prudent to clamour for something if you haven't any idea how much there may be?





Even more, why is the idea of rapidly consuming our remaining resources considered a good idea - what ever happened to the concept of trying to use our resource wisely?
We are already drilling for our own oil. The US is the 3rd largest oil PRODUCER in the world. The problem is we consume far more than we produce and even opening up all of ANWR and all of the offshore sites will not make the US totally oil independent despite what you hear from the far right.
Didn't you get the memo? Only the Leftist in the Pelosi led Congress know whats good for you.
